Attention small business owners! If you don’t already have express permission (or valid implied consent) to send commercial electronic messages to your customers, you have until June 30th to get it done. Effective July 1, you must have permission to send emails, text messages and social media messages to anyone for commercial reasons, as that is when Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation takes effect July 1.
